OUR DINOSAUR & FOSSIL COLLECTION
RELICS is a new collection by Darwin, Sinke & van Tongeren that transforms ancient remains into contemporary sculptural forms. Millions of years old, these materials are not revived, but carefully repositioned—honoring their history, weight, and presence through steel, coral, and velvet. A shift in scale, not direction, RELICS brings what was once buried into deliberate, modern form.
MOSASAURUS SKULL
Price: On Request (SOLD)
Dimensions: L: 103 W: 148 H: 225 cm
A large Mosasaurus skull captured in an upward motion, as if breaking through water toward its prey. Mounted on an antique wooden pedestal, partly upholstered in Fortuny velvet. Metal coral branches wrap around the piece, referencing its marine origin without becoming decorative. The work holds tension between movement and stillness. A predator fixed in time.
BASILOSAURUS CROWN
Price: On Request
Dimensions: Dia. 180 H: 285 cm
An abstract crown constructed from the full skeleton of a Basilosaurus. The original 15-metre animal is reconfigured into a circular form that is no longer anatomical, but still carrying its mass and presence. Fossilised coral spheres are integrated into the structure, adding weight and rhythm. Not a reconstruction, but a transformation.
ELEPHANT BIRD WITH EGG
Price: On Request
Dimensions: W: 180 D: 80 H: 195 cm
A rare Elephant Bird egg placed within a partially reconstructed skeleton (65–70% original bone from Madagascar). The skeleton frames the egg without enclosing it. Holding it in place while leaving space around it. It’s a simple gesture: origin surrounded by what remains.
TRICERATOPS SKULL
Price: On Request
A Triceratops skull suspended above an antique wooden pedestal, set in a slow, continuous rotation. The movement is almost imperceptible, giving the heavy form an unexpected lightness, as if it were floating. A delicate piece of white coral is positioned beneath the skull, creating a quiet but striking contrast between fragility and mass. The weight of the skull is still present, but it reads as suspended rather than grounded.
MAMMOTH TUSK
Price: On Request
Dimensions: D: 110 D: 30 H: 130 cm
A mammoth tusk suspended from a chain. The hanging position removes it from its original function and shifts it into a pure form. Curved, balanced, and isolated.
Note: Unavailable for the USA.
DIPLODOCUS VERTEBRAE
Object A.
Price: On Request
Diplodocus vertebrae displayed on stacked antique velvet jewellery stands. The presentation borrows from historical display language. Treating the bones as objects of value rather than specimens. Stacking creates both elevation and compression.

IRISH ELK
Price: On Request
Dimensions:
W: 180 D: 97 H: 120 cm
An Irish Elk positioned on a velvet cushion, referencing early jewellery displays. Supported by a metal structure derived from coral forms and wrought iron. The piece can be wall-mounted or freestanding, shifting how it occupies space.
MINERAL CABINET XXL
Price: On Request
Dimensions:
W: 140 D: 56 H: 206 cm
A large upholstered cabinet containing an extensive mineral collection. The cabinet houses an old Italian mineral collection, preserved and presented as a whole, with several exceptional pieces. Raw crystals, geological fragments, and natural formations are brought together. Closer to a constructed interior than a display case. A direct reference to the Wunderkammer, without nostalgia.
